Mindful Awareness Meditation
Every 3rd Thursday of the month from 7-8pm
Mindful Awareness Meditation group meetings are held once a month, on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7-8pm at the studio. Additional private and group classes upon request. Please contact Martha through The Yoga Connection.
Mindful Awareness Medidation is a technique that helps us unlock ourselves from habits of unconscious reaction to the new possibilities of responding and being in our daily lives. Find out more about our mindful awareness meditation here.
Sunday Yoga (All Levels)
Sundays at 5:30pm
This class is designed for all levels of yoga experience. We will be changing teachers every Sunday so your experience will be varied as you get an opportunity to be instructed by each of the teachers at The Yoga Connection. This class is designed to open your body and mind to new experiences and prepare you for the coming week.

Yoga for Seniors
Mondays at 4:30pm
This class is offered at Carolina House Assisted Living Berkshire Rd, Smithfield NC (map). Please check in at the front desk to join the yoga class. Martha Catz teaches this chair yoga for seniors. Gently flex the major joints of the body, light muscle strengthening and breathing exercises.

Prenatal Yoga
Tuesdays at 7:30pm
Thursdays at 10:30am
Pre-natal yoga gently maintains your strength and flexibility during this important time of your life. Pregnancy places a lot of demands on a woman's body and the birth process is easier when you can stay healthy, strong and flexible. Nancy Gilbert is certified in pre natal yoga. Please contact our studio before choosing a class.
You must be no more than 6 months to begin a pre natal yoga practice. Email or call 919-971-1431.

Posture Fundamentals
Tuesdays at 6pm
Posture Fundamentals is designed to allow the student to slowly and within his or her own comfort zone learn and explore the yoga postures. In each class we will concentrate on 3-4 poses, taking plenty of time to prepare the body and mind for an in-depth experience. This class is open to all levels—beginners, too!

Easy Does It Yoga
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
A great place to begin. Introducing stretching and strengthening of the body slowly and with gentle consideration. Especially good for individuals that are entering into a beginning fitness program after a period of inactivity. This class is one hour. A Gentle Beginner Class.

Intro to Flow Yoga
Wednesdays at 7pm
An introductory class designed for the beginning student. In this class you will learn to move from one pose to the next in synchrony with the breath. The poses will be taught statically and then incorporated into a flow (vinyasa) sequence. The flexibility, strength and balance that the yoga postures bring to body and mind are integrated into this slightly more energetic class in a friendly and welcoming environment. A great beginning for individuals looking to introduce a moderate cardiovascular element to their wellness plan. Beginner and All Levels.

Morning Yoga
Thursdays at 9am
An introductory yoga class that combines the learning of different yoga postures while understanding the use of breath to open the body and facilitate a healthier physical state. Nancy introduces the linking of the breath to motion in an accessible, fundamental way that is perfect for beginners yet offers the experienced yogi a chance to slow it down and revisit their "yoga on the mat."

Saturday Morning All Levels Class
Saturdays at 10am
Open to all levels of skill, and for those new to yoga. If the week day has too many evening commitments, bring yourself into our Saturday morning class. If the week has thrown you off track, find your center again by joining mind and body in our all levels yoga class. Enjoy the positive physical and emotional energy of yoga.
