An excellent practice for students who are experiencing the effects of Fibromyalgia and arthritis or for those students who are looking for a new depth in understanding their bodies. Yin is not described as a restorative practice.
Hot yoga warms, soothes and increases flexibility & strength of the muscles and joints.
Cold air temperature can increase the risk for muscle strain. Having the room warm helps to increase circulation to muscles and joints, preparing for work and to move more freely. Bring a small hand towel, and dress in layers. The room temperature will be set between 88° and 90°.
Open to all levels whether beginner or more experienced.

Sundays at 5:30pm (Every 3rd Sunday is Yin Yoga)
This class is designed to open your body and mind in preparation for the coming week. Set intentions in this class that will support you through out the busy week. Open to all levels, a chance to breath and ground your body & mind before the busy-ness of Monday grabs hold.

Mondays can be Mondays. Reset your attitude, energy and intention for how the rest of the week can unfold. In this class: Asana (to get the body straight and strong); Breath work (to re-energize and focus); and some time to renew body & mind in relaxation (to calm and reduce the stress response). Regular weekly class.

Pre-natal yoga gently maintains your strength and flexibility during this important time of your life. Pregnancy places a lot of demands on a woman's body and the birth process is easier when you can stay healthy, strong and flexible. Nancy Gilbert is certified in pre natal yoga. Please contact our studio before choosing a class.

Posture Fundamentals is designed to allow the student to slowly within his or her own comfort zone, learn and explore the yoga postures. In each class we will concentrate on 4-5 static poses, taking plenty of time to prepare the body and mind for an in-depth experience. At the end, we connect them all together, integrating the postures into an easy and explorative flow.
This class is open to all levels—beginners, too!
Wednesdays at 5:30pm
A great place to begin. Introducing stretching and strengthening of the body slowly and with gentle consideration. Especially good for individuals that are entering into a beginning fitness program after a period of inactivity. This class is one hour. A Gentle Beginner Class.
Wednesdays at 7pm
In this class you will learn to move from one pose to the next in synchrony with the breath. The poses will be taught statically and then incorporated into a flow (vinyasa) sequence. The flexibility, strength and balance that the yoga postures bring to body and mind are integrated into this slightly more energetic class in a friendly and welcoming environment. A great beginning for individuals looking to introduce a moderate cardiovascular element to their wellness plan. All Levels.

Open to all levels of skill, and for those new to yoga. If the week day has too many evening commitments, bring yourself into our Saturday morning class.
